One Sweet February Weekend
One sweet February weekend, I was on a baking spree. I wanted to have some sort of dessert buffet for Valentine’s Day so I made cookies, cupcakes and pastillas (my nephew and niece did the finishing touches for this milky treat).
Baking homemade cookies has been my ultimate dream and I was able to achieve it with the help of a very easy to follow recipe from Baker Bettie. I stumbled on her recipe for Easy Chocolate Chip Cookies when I was looking for Β instructions on how to make cupcakes and cookies without baking soda. Here is my version of the cookies.
We gave a jar of my special cookies as a gift for my parents. I just added heart-shaped marshmallows to add a touch of VDay to our gift.
I also baked chocolate cupcakes using a box of Celebrations by Sharon Party Cupcake Mix and added cocoa powder for a chocolatey flavor.

Aluminum llaneras and puto molds were my all-around baking buddies before I got muffin and cake pans.
For the cupcakes, I made cream cheese frosting topped with chocolate chips. I’m so happy that everyone liked these yummy cupcakes!
My Chocolate Cupcakes with Cream Cheese and Chocolate Chips go well with a cup of brewed coffee.
Gastronomically, this was how sweet my Valentine’s Day came to be. I’m hoping that I can bake this much for special occasions and that my output will be more delectable each time.
What about you? How do you make celebrations extra special?
looks all delish! I’m a fan of baking too… let’s share recipes soon. π
Thank you, Joy π I love your creations, too π
Your baked goodies looks delicious. Yum. Yum
Thank you π
I would love to try out baking one day, when I’ve already got a kitchen of my own.
I find it sweet when someone gives me homebaked goodies. Because I know how tough it can be to bake hehe.
Truly! Baking can be really tough but when I see how people enjoy my goodies, I feel so appreciated and encouraged to bake again π
I can’t wait to purchase an oven so I can bake cookies at home π I’m not really good at it, but I just love trying out recipes I see online ^^ Your baked goodies look really delicious π
Go for it, Yvonne! I usually bake using an old oven toaster that I got from my parents. You may want to start on something like that, too. π
I can’t choose which dessert I like best; mukhang yummy lahat! And I like your idea of turning your cookies into a VDay gift simply by adding heart-shaped mallows.
Thanks a lot, Maan! π
I want to have some of those mouth-watering cupcakes! Go bake some more to make a lot of hearts happy.
Will do that, Tetcha π
Looks yum π Haven’t baked for a while. Now, this is making me really hungry tuloy π
Go bake again, Ayi! π
