It still amazes me how GOD provides for what we exactly need at just the right time.

Last week, I was already done doing the groceries when I have realized that we were already down to our last piece of bath soap. The next day, my Mom sent me a message that a package has just been delivered for me. Guess what? It was full of bath products of the exact brand that we’ve been using! I didn’t have to make another trip to the supermarket and contend with the weekend crowd to buy soap. It spared me and my little girl, who’s almost always with me wherever I go and whatever I do, from being exposed to viruses. In case you don’t know, there’s still a measles epidemic here in Metro Manila.

Growing up, Safeguard has been our hand washing and bathing must-have. With its ability to remove 99.9% of germs, I am confident that we have a better chance of preventing the spread of viruses in our family. Now that there is a rise in the number of measles cases, we have to be extra careful. Vaccination is our #1 protection but the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDCP) recommends: • Frequent hand washing • Not touching the eyes, nose, and mouth • Covering the mouth when coughing or sneezing • Avoiding close contact and sharing utensils with people who are sick. Symptoms of measles include: * Coughing * Runny nose * Red eyes * Fever * Diarrhea * Distinctive red rash that spreads all over the body If your child or family members are showing the those symptoms, it is also recommended to visit your nearest health center or family doctor. Its complications, which can be fatal, include ear infections, blindness, swelling of the brain, and pneumonia. In fact, measles is one of the top causes of death among children below the age of 5. That night, I got another message from a new friend asking me where in church she can entrust the vitamins that she brought for my daughter. I was all smiles while reading her SMS for I am thankful of how GOD is providing for our needs, however big or small they may be.

The next day when I was about to start reading my Bible, this verse came into mind:

Phil 4:19 KJV

I ask GOD for a lot of things – for myself and my family. Sometimes, I feel impatient and frustrated, thinking that GOD might not be listening. But, it’s the total opposite. GOD knows the desires of our hearts! He has full knowledge of what we want to ask for even before praying for it. For what has happened to me in the last couple of years, I have come to realize that GOD is always ready to supply my every need. I just need to be ready to fully embrace and enjoy His blessings. I think that that’s what it means to partake in “his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.”

I just need to be reminded that He has been so faithful to us in the past – coming through for us at the very hour of our need. We just need to be still and trust that GOD, in His own time, will meet our needs.

All glory to GOD!
