We are so blessed to spend the holiday last November 30 at Enchanted Kingdom and join OPPO F5‘s celebration of National Selfie Day! We get to enjoy the whole event as a family (plus my niece). The OPPO and SparkIT teams got everything covered – an all-access pass to EK’s rides; a short program; and even a mini-concert for everyone to enjoy. With all of these, everyone definitely got selfie-worthy pics!
When I became a mom, I make it a point to make fun-filled and pleasant memories for my family. What better way to immortalize our day at the magical and well-loved theme park here in the South than to take plenty of photos, especially selfies so that each one of us is in every picture. It was my firstborn’s third time at the park, and now that he’s four years old, he was able to enjoy more of the rides. My husband, being more on the adventurous side, wanted to take our boy for a ride on the Jungle Log Jam. I vehemently opposed as there is a great possibility that our little boy will get scared mid-ride and cause him great distress. Very unsafe! Anyway, EK would be around for some time and he will get to try out such thrill-filled rides when he’s old enough.
Since our baby girl is too young (she’s only two months old) to partake in the park’s attractions, she and I spent most of the time inside the Eldar’s Tent, which served as a holding area for the event’s participants. But I still had the chance to jump in the Bump ‘N Splash with my son and my niece and had fun driving in circles and squirting water on strangers. Thanks to my hubs for taking care of our baby for a while. Back at the tent, I was able to get a closer look at the sleek, red, OPPO F5 6GB and prayed hard to be one of the 10 winners of that day’s giveaway. Sadly, I wasn’t. My husband and I initially planned to leave early but we end up staying until evening as he, our son, and my niece enjoy EK’s attractions as much as they can. During that time, our baby and I got comfy at the tent while watching the concert from afar and waiting for the announcement of winners.

- Remove from fire, mound the rice on plate then set aside.
- In a bowl, beat the eggs until the whites and yolks are well combined.
- Add pulverized black pepper.

- Heat oil in a pan and fry the egg mixture.
- Remove fried eggs out of the pan and mold it well on top of the rice.
- Serve with catsup.

5 .Simmer until liquid has been reduced to half.

- Add salt and mix well.
- Serve hot.

For this year, The Mind Museum, the Philippines’ first interactive science museum, graciously hosted the venue for our blogging community. My family and I have been to the Mind Museum three times already but we have yet to fully explore its scientific wonders. By the way, the Museum has seasonal special exhibits, the most recent one was Dino Play (which ended last September 30 and we had tons of fun in that exhibit!) and it has an upcoming Science Circus which opens on October 28.
Going back to our MBP party… I actually liked this year’s celebration better than last year in terms of proximity and type of venue. This year was more private as we had the Special Exhibit Hall all to ourselves and our loved ones. Mommy bloggers had more time to fellowship with one another and our kids were able to play with each other. We still had to chase our little ones around but I was fine with it because the area was closed and there was a guard on standby so I didn’t worry that my son would go farther away from me. I just got a bit confused as there were too many boys who chose to be Spiderman that day – the costume that my son chose over the little engineer outfit that I planned for him to wear.
Lani of Tweenselmom.com hosted a simple program for us. She made the kids wearing costumes go up the stage in batches so us moms could check out and vote the ones with the most creative outfits. We do have the Mad Hatter / Alice in Wonderland theme this year but Lani, Joy of Joybites.com and Louisa of ArtofBeingAMom.com, the power ladies behind MBP, have given the attendees a heads up that our kids could come as they want to be. A great decision, in my opinion, as most kids, especially the younger ones like mine, are not too fond of wearing elaborate costumes. Case in point: My son who chose to slip on his ultra comfy Spiderman long sleeved shirt rather than put on a helmet, wear a more dapper shirt.
My son and I had fun in this party. I like that it was more laidback, good for me since I am still recovering from lower back pain. I appreciated the sponsors who generously sent goodies for all the mommies and our kids as well as the suppliers who participated that day. “We are taking a fresh new spin on how we’re presenting the Disney stories. We are weaving together the four worlds of royal sisters Anna and Elsa, Ariel, Belle and Rapunzel as they each embark on their own epic journey,” says Producer Juliette Feld.
Sing and dance to popular Disney tunes with interactive and playful segments for kids to be led by Disney superstars Mickey and Minnie.
Also join Anna as she fearlessly sets off on an epic journey, together with Kristoff and reindeer Sven, to find her sister Elsa, whose icy powers have trapped the kingdom of Arendelle in perpetual winter.
Dazzling costume designs, spectacular set elements, and jaw-dropping stunts are also what make this year’s show even more exhilarating.
In Beauty and the Beast’s “Be Our Guest,” the theatrical elements of the glitzy napkins and silverware costumes will astound audiences. “The costumes are designed to emphasize the overwhelming amount of table décor that appears in the movie. The napkins unfold to increase their size and the forks tower over the heads of the performers. This is a big moment for Belle; the costumes need to reflect that,” says Costume Designer Cynthia Nordstrom.
Moreover, lighting plays a crucial role in giving the overall production a truly magical feel.
“The colors really pull you into the different worlds of the princesses, but it’s how the lights are arranged that command your attention when the characters are performing their acts. For example, when the Daughters of Triton are introduced, the lighting individually highlights each of them. Your eyes follow the spotlights,” says Lighting Designer Sam Doty.
